Rustic Handcrafted Custom Log Day Beds, are made out of solid Ontario Canada air dried pine. Average size of corner post on are 4" - 5" thick, the rest of the hand-crafted log day bed is made to fit with the 4" - 5" corner posts. 2" tenon and mortise joints, spindles approx size 3" thick, spreaders approx. size 4" to 5" thick, side rails approx size 4" to 5" thick, all joints glued twice with expansion glue, solid spruce 2" x 4" spreaders for the mattress frame, 4" - 5" heavy duty log lag screws, all drilled holes are counter sunk ¼", logs are fitted then refitted to the exact size. Then logs are all hand sanded with 60grit then 100grit, then your log day bed is ready for finishing, hand finishing is available!
